The Cleaning Crew

Part of our work at Tennyson Lodge is to help people to develop their skills and to support them to become more independent.  One of the ways we do this is to employ a team of people to keep the building clean.


We do not have any contract cleaners.  Our team carry out all the cleaning duties within the centre themselves.
They are paid for one hour of work each session and also take part in training for which they will receive a certificate to help them when they apply for other jobs.


We have been doing this now for over fives years and it has been an extremely successful project.  Not only is the centre kept in a very clean and safe condition, but the Cleaning Crew have also saved the centre a lot of money.  All those who have taken part have completed the training and have gained their certificates too.

All those who have worked on this project have chosen to take part themselves and have done a superb job of looking after the centre.  We congratulate everyone on their hard work and also for completing all the training successfully.
